180 Degrees

It was June of 2004 when Adam Parker (aka Serve3) asked Kujo to co-host a new internet radio show on www.mw-dnb.com. The title 180 Degrees was born. The show gained instant local support and started to feature the vast array of dnb talent that ATL has to offer. In September of 2004, the crew moved the radio show to the ever growing drumnbasstv.com and has since continued to gain internet listener support through the site.

After a few broadcasts with guests Dave Lunati & Kakarot MC they were quickly asked to join the crew. Soon after, Serve3 left to pursue other goals, but the team ventured on. In January of 2005, reputable local dj and long-time friend Ideal joined 180 Degrees to help with co-hosting duties. His soulful elements provided a great contrast to Kujo’s generally dark style. A few months later, the crew expanded once again. In May of 2005, rising locals Enexgee and Disciple13 proved their worth and began to add their unique flavor to 180 Degrees and drumnbasstv.com.

The latest reorganization of the crew wouldn’t come until September 2006. Dave Lunati found he was too busy with work and his personal life to go on with the crew. Nano, an old friend of Kujo and Ideal, and a great producer and dj, moved back to Atlanta at just the right time and added another great dimension of sound, completing the crew as it stands today.

The radio show has been lucky enough to host some of the best drum and bass artists in the world including Raiden, Vicious Circle, Evol Intent, Corrupt Souls, Ewun, Quadrant, Mayhem and Tester. 180 Degrees also gladly invites all the locals trying to make their mark in the region to stop in and play as a guest some time. The show still continues to hold down Friday nights on the internet today, and is the 2nd longest running internet radio show in Atlanta.

Today 180 Degrees is undoubtedly one of the hardest working crews in Atlanta. On top of their internet shenanigans, 180° has thrown over 12 successful events over the last 2 years. They have also been handed the torch to run Atlanta's locals only dnb night, SUPPORTYOURFUCKINGLOCALS, at The Mark.

Besides the events they host themselves, 180° never disappoint behind the decks. The crew has an extensive dj schedule in Atlanta, the southeast, and beyond. They have traveled to various regional hot spots to play special events like Mardi Gras in Mobile, AL, Hempfest in Columbus, OH, and the Southeast Regional Burn, Transformus, in Asheville, NC. They never hesitate to help benefit events by playing for worthy causes such as the SE Asian Tsunami relief fund, Hurricane Katrina relief, and for the families of the victims of the Seattle shooting in 2006.

30 years combined experience leads the crew to push only the best sounds in dnb. From light to hard, we’ve got it all. Each member brings a unique flavor to the table to form a gestalt unit that is stronger than the sum of its parts. Want to hear more? Check our events section and let the music speak for itself!
